Data File
The CommittedMatings.txt data file simply contains 2 columns:
- Sire: Father’s Id of committed mating
- Dam: Mother’s Id of committed mating
Example:

You can use space or comma delimited format.
Place the CommittedMatings.txt file in the same location as your Main Data File (CSV) before opening the CSV in MateSel. You should see the following Committed Matings options:
Validation
Section titled “Validation”If these committed matings lead to a breaking of any constraints, such as MaxUse constraints or group mating permissions, then this will be reported as a warning in the MateSel logs tab, and the run may have to stop.
