Overview

MateSel supports the monitoring and control of genetic markers using two approaches:

Approach	Description
Genotype	Supports markers where all candidates have been DNA tested.
Genotype Probability	Supports markers where only a subset of candidates have been DNA tested and you have used a tool (e.g. GeneProb) to calculate each candidates genotype probability based on pedigree.

Genotypes and Genotype probabilities are monitored and controlled using the same tools in MateSel, only the coding of each approach is different.
