Overview
MateSel supports the monitoring and control of traits. A trait is typically an EBV, gEBV, or some other performance metric. It can also be another attribute that you want to manage, such as age or location.
For each trait we have a histogram showing the predicted trait outcomes for the progeny in the current mating list solution. Note that these are the parental-average EBVs, which are the predicted average genetic merit of the progeny from each mating. Actual outcomes will also depend on residual genetic variation and environmental effects.
